Cobble Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Anyora Home LLC (“Anyora Home,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the Cobble app and when you contact us about Cobble. It does not describe unrelated Anyora Home products or third-party services that you use independently of Cobble.

Cobble is designed as a local-first application. Cobble does not require an Anyora Home account and does not provide an Anyora Home cloud-content sync or storage service for your saved Sources.

2. Information Cobble processes

Cobble processes information that you choose to save, create, select, capture, paste, or share into the app. Depending on how you use Cobble, this may include:

• photos, screenshots, and camera captures;
• text that you paste, type, or send through the iOS Share menu;
• web links that you save;
• quick notes, titles, inline notes, and other edits you make;
• information recognized or derived from saved material, such as OCR text, dates, times, places, people, organizations, event details, titles, relationships, and confidence or review state;
• Threads, Events, reminders, relationship decisions, and corrections you create or confirm; and
• locally generated thumbnails, link-preview metadata, search indexes, and other app data needed to operate Cobble.

Cobble receives content through system interfaces only when you take the relevant action. For example, camera access is requested when you choose to take a photo, and photo selection is handled through Apple’s system photo picker.

3. Where your saved content is stored

Your Cobble Sources, notes, extracted information, Threads, Events, reminders, relationships, thumbnails, and other app-owned records are stored locally in Cobble’s iOS app storage. The Share Extension uses an Apple App Group container to pass content you explicitly share into Cobble; that staging area is also local to the device.

Cobble does not upload your saved Source content to an Anyora Home server or account. Anyora Home generally cannot view, retrieve, remotely edit, or remotely delete information that exists only in Cobble’s local storage.

4. On-device processing

Cobble performs its core content processing on the device. This includes optical character recognition (OCR) for saved images, search, title evaluation, extraction of useful signals, Event and Thread organization, relationship evaluation, and reminder logic.

Saved Source text, saved images, OCR text, search queries, extracted names or identifiers, Thread contents, and Event contents are not sent to Cobble’s product-analytics service.

5. Limited network activity

Although Cobble is local-first, some features use network services. These flows are separate from Cobble’s local content processing.

Product analytics

Cobble uses TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used. The in-app setting is labeled “Share anonymous analytics.” Analytics sharing is enabled by default and can be turned off at any time in Cobble Settings. When the setting is off, Cobble stops sending new optional analytics events.

Cobble’s analytics payload is deliberately limited. It may include:

• a randomly generated identifier for that Cobble installation and a separate foreground-session identifier;
• the Cobble app version and build number;
• platform and broad device family, such as iPhone or iPad;
• a timestamp; and
• content-free feature events and bounded categories, such as the type of capture used, a range for the number of saved Sources, a search-result type or surface, a Thread-count or age range, or the outcome of a reminder action.

Cobble does not include the text or images you saved, your search terms, your notes, extracted names or event details, email address, Apple ID, advertising identifier, or precise location in its analytics payloads. Cobble does not use these analytics for advertising or cross-app or cross-site tracking.

TelemetryDeck receives the analytics request as our analytics processor. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses. See TelemetryDeck privacy information for its current service practices.

Link previews

When you save a web link, Cobble asks Apple’s LinkPresentation framework to retrieve metadata for that URL, such as a page title, image, or site icon. This can cause a network request associated with the URL you chose to save. The destination service, Apple, or other network infrastructure involved in retrieving the preview may receive the URL and ordinary connection information under their own practices. Cobble stores the resulting preview information locally when available.

Link-preview retrieval is not used to send your other Cobble Sources, notes, search queries, Threads, or Events to the linked website.

App Store purchases

Full Cobble is purchased and restored through Apple StoreKit. Cobble asks Apple for product information, presents Apple’s purchase or offer-code interfaces, and checks the current App Store entitlement needed to unlock lifetime access. Anyora Home does not receive your full payment-card details through Cobble.

Support messages

If you choose Send Feedback and then send an email, Anyora Home receives the email address used to send the message, the message content you provide, and any app information left in the prepared message. The prepared message includes the Cobble app version and build number, iOS version, and broad device family. Cobble tells you that this app information can be removed before you send the email.

Cobble does not automatically send the feedback message or attach your saved Sources to it.

6. Reminders and notifications

Cobble reminders are scheduled as local iOS notifications after you choose to create a reminder and, when required, grant notification permission. Cobble does not use a remote push-notification service for these reminders.

A reminder notification may display the title of the related Source or Event. Whether notification content appears on the Lock Screen or in other system surfaces depends on your iOS notification settings. You can change Cobble’s notification permissions and preview settings in iOS Settings.

7. Exports, device backups, and external copies

Cobble export

Cobble can create a recovery export that contains Cobble data, including the local database and saved source assets needed for recovery. You choose where to save the exported file through Apple’s document picker. The destination you select may be local storage or a third-party or cloud storage provider available through the Files interface.

After an export leaves Cobble, its storage, synchronization, retention, sharing, and deletion are controlled by you and the destination provider. Protect exported files as you would the underlying information they contain.

iOS device backup

Cobble does not use CloudKit or an Anyora Home cloud service to sync your saved content. Separately, Apple’s normal device-backup system may include app data stored in Application Support when device backup is enabled. As a result, Cobble’s local data may be included in an iCloud or other device backup according to your Apple and device settings. Anyora Home does not control those backups.

8. Deletion and retention

Locally stored Cobble data remains on the device until you delete it through available app controls, remove the app, restore or replace app data, erase or replace the device, or the operating system otherwise removes it.

Deleting a Source removes Cobble’s saved copy and related app-owned records as handled by Cobble. It does not delete the original item from Photos, Files, Mail, Messages, a website, or another app or service. Deleting information from Cobble also does not delete a copy that you previously exported or shared, or a copy retained in a device backup outside Cobble’s control.

Analytics data and support correspondence are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for product analysis, support, security, recordkeeping, and applicable legal obligations. Third-party services may retain information under their own policies and service settings.

9. When information is shared

Cobble does not sell your saved content or personal information. Cobble does not use your saved content for advertising. We disclose or transmit information only in the limited circumstances described in this policy, including:

• content-free analytics sent to TelemetryDeck when analytics sharing is enabled;
• the URL you choose to save when the system retrieves link-preview metadata;
• purchase and entitlement interactions handled by Apple StoreKit;
• information you choose to send in a support email;
• files or content you deliberately export, share, or open in another app or service; and
• information we are legally required to disclose if we actually possess it, such as support records or analytics available to us.

Because Anyora Home does not receive your local Cobble content as part of normal app operation, we generally cannot disclose content that never leaves your device.

10. Security

Cobble reduces exposure by keeping saved content and content processing in the app’s local storage rather than operating a centralized content service. Cobble uses the iOS application sandbox and platform file protections available to the app. No device, application, backup, export, network, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device, Apple account, device backups, exported files, and any external services where you choose to place Cobble data. Cobble is not designed to be a password manager, authentication-code vault, financial-credential repository, or guaranteed backup service.

11. Children and family information

Cobble does not create user accounts and does not ask users to provide an age in order to use the app. Cobble is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian may choose to save family- or school-related information in Cobble; that content is handled in the same local-first manner described in this policy.

If you contact Anyora Home and believe a child has directly provided information to us in a way that requires deletion under applicable law, contact us using the information below.

12. Your choices and privacy rights

You can control much of Cobble’s data handling directly on your device. You can:

• choose what content to save or share into Cobble;
• turn off Share anonymous analytics in Cobble Settings;
• manage camera and notification permissions through iOS Settings;
• edit or delete locally stored Sources and other supported app data;
• remove reminders;
• export Cobble data; and
• delete the app and its local app container, subject to copies that may remain in exports or device backups.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights concerning information that Anyora Home or its service providers actually hold about you. You may contact us to exercise those rights. Because Cobble’s saved content normally remains only on your device and is not tied to an Anyora Home account, we may be unable to access, identify, correct, or delete local-only content on your behalf.
